Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) is a 50:50 Joint Venture of the Government of India and Government of Kerala, responsible for implementing and operating the Kochi Metro Rail Project. With Phase II construction underway (11 km, 11 stations), KMRL is a pioneer in sustainable urban transit solutions.

KMRL is Hiring for Senior Design Leadership Roles

Position:

1. Joint General Manager (Design) (E6 Grade) – Regular/Deputation

2. Addl. Chief Engineer (Design) – Re-employment
   Vacancy: 1 (Either Regular/Deputation or Re-employment)
   Location: Kochi, Kerala

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design review for metro viaducts, stations, bridges, and property development projects.

• Ensure compliance with IRS, IRC, IS, and Euro Codes for metro/railway infrastructure.

• Manage design consultancy contracts and coordinate with execution teams for CMRS inspections.

• Resolve site-specific design issues and optimize solutions for Phase II projects (JLN Stadium to Info Park).

• Oversee proof checking of designs for Kochi/Trivandrum/Kozhikode flyovers and alternate revenue ventures.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification:

  • Regular/Deputation: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (AICTE-recognized).

  • Preference: M.Tech in Structural Engineering.

• Experience:

  • 15+ years in civil structure design (metro viaducts, bridges), including 6+ years in metro/railway projects.

  • PSU/Govt. Candidates: Must be in equivalent/higher pay scales (₹90,000–2,60,000 IDA or ₹37,400–67,000 + GP 8700 CDA).

  • Private Sector: Minimum CTC of ₹1.6 Lakh/month.

• Age Limit:

  • Regular/Deputation: Max 48 years (as of 01.04.2025).

  • Re-employment: 56–62 years.

Compensation & Tenure

• Regular: ₹90,000–2,40,000 (IDA Pay Scale).

• Deputation: As per parent organization’s terms.

• Re-employment: Consolidated ₹1,46,000/month (extendable up to 5 years/age 65).
