About the Organization:
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), under the Government of India’s Department of Personnel & Training, conducts recruitment examinations for various Group B and C posts in ministries, departments, and organizations. Job Title: Senior Secretariat Assistant/Upper Division Clerk (Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2024)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical and secretarial duties in central government ministries/departments.
- Handle file management, documentation, and office correspondence.
- Assist in administrative tasks, record-keeping, and data entry.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Current Position: Regularly appointed Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)/Lower Division Clerk (LDC) in CSCS Cadre of DoPT.
- Service Tenure: Minimum 5 years of approved service (or 4 years if appointed via competitive exam) as of 01.08.2024.
- Age Limit: ≤50 years (relaxable to 55 years for SC/ST).
- Typing Test: Must have passed SSC typing test for confirmation (exemptions as per rules).
Selection Process:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE):
- Subjects: General English, Parliamentary Procedures, General Knowledge, Noting & Drafting (200 marks total).
- Duration: 3 hours (4 hours for PwBD candidates).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Evaluation of Service Record (APARs): 100 marks.
