About the Organization:
Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), formerly Kandla Port Trust, is a major port under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India. It operates health centers and hospitals to provide medical services to port employees and their families.

Position Details:

• Post: Medical Officer (Contractual)
• Vacancies: 2
• Location: Port Health Centre, Vadinar (with possible postings in Jamnagar, Kandla, or Adipur)
• Employment Type: Contractual (Initial 11 months, extendable twice)
• Remuneration: ₹80,000/month (consolidated)
• Age Limit: Below 50 years (as of 01.04.2025)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Medical Services:
   • Provide outpatient (OPD) and emergency medical care at assigned health centers.
   • Work in rotational shifts (morning/afternoon/night), including on-call emergency duties.
2. Administrative Duties:
   • Maintain medical records and oversee contractual staff duty rosters.
   • Ensure proper care of DPA medical equipment and supplies.
3. Compliance:
   • Adhere to DPA protocols and directives from the Chief Medical Officer.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education:
  • MBBS from a recognized university.
  • Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/NMC.
• Experience:
  • 1+ year post-internship experience in reputed hospitals/Govt. institutions.
