Job Description
MoEF&CC invites applications for Associate (Legal)-A to support legal operations at its Dehradun office. The role involves handling environmental litigation, legal research, and compliance under the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and other judicial forums.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential Qualification:
- LL.B from a recognized university (Bar Council of India enrollment mandatory).
- 1–2 years of legal experience.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in environmental law (forests, wildlife, pollution).
- LL.M or specialization diploma in environmental law.
- 60%+ marks in LL.B/LL.M (full-time courses preferred).
- Age Limit: 50 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, represent MoEF&CC in NGT cases.
- Conduct research on environmental laws and policies.
- Maintain legal repositories and LIMBS portal updates.
