Job Description

MoEF&CC invites applications for Associate (Legal)-A to support legal operations at its Dehradun office. The role involves handling environmental litigation, legal research, and compliance under the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and other judicial forums.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Essential Qualification:
  • LL.B from a recognized university (Bar Council of India enrollment mandatory).
  • 1–2 years of legal experience.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in environmental law (forests, wildlife, pollution).
  • LL.M or specialization diploma in environmental law.
  • 60%+ marks in LL.B/LL.M (full-time courses preferred).
• Age Limit: 50 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft legal documents, represent MoEF&CC in NGT cases.
• Conduct research on environmental laws and policies.
• Maintain legal repositories and LIMBS portal updates.
