About the Organization

The Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP) advises the Government of India on Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) and agricultural policy. As an attached office of the Ministry of Agriculture, it plays a pivotal role in balancing farmer welfare and consumer interests.

Position Overview

The advertisement is for one (1) post of Administrative Officer (Group ‘A’) in Level-10 (₹56,100–1,77,500) at the Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP), New Delhi.

Note:

  • The vacancy is to be filled via Composite Method (Deputation/Short-Term Contract/Promotion).
  • Headquarters: New Delhi (transferable anywhere in India).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Gazetted/Non-Gazetted staff administration.
  • Act as Head of Office and Drawing & Disbursing Officer.
  • Handle vigilance, stores, and financial matters.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. For Deputation/Short-Term Contract:
    • Current Post: Analogous Level-10 OR
      2+ years in Level-9 (₹53,100–1,67,800) OR
      4+ years in Level-8 (₹47,600–1,51,100) OR
      5+ years in Level-7 (₹44,900–1,42,400) OR
      10+ years in Level-6 (₹35,400–1,12,400).
    • Education: Degree + 3 years’ experience in accounts/administration.
  2. For Promotion:
    • Departmental Superintendents (Level-6) with 10+ years’ service.
  3. Age Limit: ≤56 years (deputation).

Tenure: 3 years (extendable).
