Job Description
The Ministry invites applications for the post of Chairman, CACP, to lead policy formulation, economic analysis, and stakeholder engagement for India’s agricultural sector.
Eligibility Criteria:
- For Deputation (Central/State Officers):
- Indian Economic/Statistical Service: Officers in Level-15 (₹1,82,200–2,24,100) with 2+ years’ experience.
- Others: PhD in Agricultural Economics/Statistics + 20 years’ teaching/research experience in agriculture trade policy.
- For Short-Term Contract (Non-Govt Experts):
- PhD in Agricultural Economics/Statistics + 20 years’ research experience.
- Published 5+ technical papers on agriculture prices/marketing.
- Age limit: 59 years (contract) / 56 years (deputation).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CACP’s research on MSPs, cost structures, and market trends.
- Chair meetings with state governments, ministries, and industry bodies.
- Develop data-driven methodologies for price policy analysis.
Benefits:
- Salary: Level-17 pay (₹2,25,000/month) + deputation allowance (if applicable).
- Tenure: 5 years (deputation) / 3 years (contract).
