About the Organization

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST-Jammu), under the Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement Project (JKCIP), aims to boost agribusiness startups and rural transformation. Funded by IFAD, this project fosters innovation in agriculture and allied sectors.

Job Description

Position: Young Professional – Incubation
Project: JKCIP (7-year initiative)
Location: SKUAST-Jammu & 10 districts of Jammu region
Duration: 1 year (extendable annually up to 5 years based on performance).
Salary: ₹40,000/month (consolidated).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage agribusiness incubation center activities.
• Identify and mentor startups/entrepreneurs in agriculture and allied sectors.
• Facilitate business planning, financial access, and market linkages.
• Organize capacity-building workshops and networking events.
• Monitor incubatee performance and compile quarterly progress reports.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Agriculture, MBA (Agribusiness), Rural Development, or Business Management.
• 1–3 years’ experience in incubation, entrepreneurship development, or agribusiness.
• Regional preference: Candidates with experience in Jammu’s districts.

Desired Skills:

• Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and report-writing abilities.
• Knowledge of startup ecosystems and government schemes.

Selection Process

1. Evaluation Criteria (100 Marks):
   • Qualifications (50), Experience (10), Regional Expertise (10), Interview (30).
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will present and discuss their expertise.
3. Documents Required:
   • Original and photocopies of academic/experience certificates.
