About GTRE (Gas Turbine Research Establishment)
Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) is a premier laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Headquartered in Bengaluru, GTRE specializes in the design and development of gas turbine engines for military aircraft. Position: Apprentice Trainee (Multiple Disciplines)
GTRE invites applications for apprenticeship training under The Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2025-26. This program provides a unique opportunity for fresh graduates and diploma/ITI holders to enhance their technical and professional skills under the guidance of DRDO scientists.

Key Details:

• Disciplines:

  • Engineering Graduates (BE/B.Tech): Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical, Computer Science, Metallurgy, Civil.

  • Non-Engineering Graduates (B.Com/B.Sc/B.A/BCA/BBA): Finance, Banking, Sciences, Computer Applications.

  • Diploma/ITI Holders: Mechanical, Electrical, COPA, Fitter, Welder, etc.

• Stipend: ₹7,000–₹9,000/month (as per qualification).

• Duration: 12 months (non-extendable).

• Eligibility: Candidates who passed in 2021–2025 (regular mode) with no prior apprenticeship/work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in structured on-the-job training aligned with GTRE’s R&D projects.

• Adhere to safety protocols and organizational guidelines.

• Submit periodic progress reports and participate in evaluations.

Selection Process:

• Merit-based shortlisting (academic scores).

• Document verification and medical fitness check.
