About the Organization:
The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) is a statutory body responsible for regulating the electricity sector in Delhi. Established under the Electricity Act, 2003, DERC ensures efficient power distribution, tariff determination, and consumer protection.

Position Details:

1. Executive Director (Law) – Group A

• Vacancies: 1 (Anticipated)
• Pay Scale (Deputation/Direct): Level-14 (7th CPC) – ₹1,44,200–2,18,200
• Consolidated Pay (Contract): ₹2,74,902/month (without lease) or ₹2,31,642/month (with lease)
• Age Limit:
  • Deputation: 56 years | Direct: 50 years | Contract: 62 years
• Eligibility:
  • Essential: Law degree + 2–3 years in Level-13A/13 (7th CPC).
  • Desirable: Experience in legal matters, drafting statutes, and commercial/contract law.

2. Executive Director (Engineering) – Group A

• Vacancies: 1 (Anticipated)
• Pay Scale (Deputation/Direct): Level-14 (7th CPC) – ₹1,44,200–2,18,200
• Consolidated Pay (Contract): ₹2,74,902/month (without lease) or ₹2,31,642/month (with lease)
• Age Limit: Same as ED (Law).
• Eligibility:
  • Essential: Degree in Electrical/Power Engineering + 2–3 years in Level-13A/13 (7th CPC).
  • Desirable: Experience in power utilities, tariff development, and power purchase agreements.

3. Assistant Director (IT) – Group A

• Vacancies: 1 (Existing)
• Pay Scale (Deputation/Direct): Level-10 (7th CPC) – ₹56,100–1,77,500
• Consolidated Pay (Contract): ₹1,13,679/month (without lease) or ₹96,849/month (with lease)
• Age Limit:
  • Deputation: 56 years | Direct: 35 years | Contract: 62 years
• Eligibility:
  • Essential: Engineering (CS/IT) or MCA + 2–3 years in Level-7/6 (7th CPC).
  • Desirable: Experience in RDBMS, LAN maintenance, and web-enabled projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• ED (Law): Handle legal matters, draft regulations, and ensure compliance with electricity laws.
• ED (Engg): Oversee technical aspects of power distribution, tariff setting, and infrastructure projects.
• AD (IT): Manage IT systems, databases, and LAN operations for DERC.
