Job Description

MoEF&CC invites applications for Judicial and Expert Members to adjudicate high-stakes environmental cases. Selected candidates will contribute to policy enforcement and sustainable development.

Position Details:

1. Judicial Member (02 Posts)
   • Eligibility:
     • Judge of a High Court OR
     • 10+ years as District/Additional District Judge OR
     • 10+ years as an Advocate (environment/forest litigation experience in NGT/SC/HC).
   • Salary: ₹2,25,000/month + Group ‘A’ allowances.
2. Expert Member (02 Posts)
   • Eligibility:
     • PG/Doctorate in Science + 25 years’ experience (including 5 years in environment/forest fields) OR
     • 20 years’ administrative experience (5 years in environmental matters).
   • Salary: ₹2,25,000/month + Group ‘A’ allowances.

General Requirements:

• Age: Minimum 50 years.
• Term: 4 years or until age 67 (whichever earlier).

2. Attach Documents:
   • Bio-data (Annexure-I).
   • Employer certificate (Annexure-II), CR/APAR dossiers, vigilance clearance (Annexure-III).
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo personal interaction (No TA/DA provided).
