About the Organization

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is a quasi-judicial body established under the Companies Act, 2013, exercising jurisdiction over company law matters and insolvency proceedings in India. Functioning under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, NCLT plays a pivotal role in corporate governance and dispute resolution.

Job Description

Position: Law Research Associate (Contractual)
Vacancies: 03 (Amravati, Ahmedabad, New Delhi)
Employment Type: Contractual (1 year, extendable to 3 years)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research on corporate/insolvency laws using databases (Manupatra, SCC Online, etc.)
• Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and draft orders
• Assist Members in court proceedings (note-taking, citation verification)
• Maintain case files and research materials
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

• LL.B/LL.M (min. 50% marks) from BCI-recognized institution
• Final-year law students eligible if degree obtained before joining

2. Age Limit (as on 05.04.2025):

• Maximum 30 years

3. Skills Required:

• Proficiency in legal research tools (Manupatra, SCC Online)
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office)
• Knowledge of Companies Act & IBC

Disqualifications:

• Pending criminal cases/disciplinary proceedings
• Concurrent employment

1. Written Exam: Companies Act, IBC, and allied laws
2. Interview: Research skills assessment
3. Document Verification
