Job Description

Project Title: “Evaluation of safety and efficacy of Unani Pharmacopoeial formulation(s) as a therapeutic adjuvant to antiepileptic drugs in drug-resistant epilepsy”
Funding Agency: CCRUM (Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine)

Available Positions

  1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
    • Vacancies: 01
    • Duration: Temporary/Contractual (Co-terminus with the project)
    • Key Responsibilities:
      • Conduct preclinical research on epilepsy models
      • Perform molecular biology techniques and animal handling
      • Assist in data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation
  2. Laboratory Technician
    • Vacancies: 01
    • Duration: Temporary/Contractual
    • Key Responsibilities:
      • Support laboratory operations and maintain equipment
      • Assist in animal handling and sample processing
      • Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols

Eligibility Criteria

Post Essential Qualifications Desirable Experience Age Limit Salary
Junior Research Fellow – PG in Life Sciences OR
– Professional degree (M.Sc. Pharmacology/M.Pharm/MBBS/BDS) with NET/GATE/GPAT qualification		 Animal handling, molecular biology techniques ≤30 years ₹31,000 + 27% HRA
Laboratory Technician – 12th (Science) + Diploma (MLT/DMLT) + 5 years’ experience
– OR 12th pass in Science with relevant lab experience		 Experience in animal lab research ≤30 years ₹24,000 + 27% HRA
