Job Description

HPPSC invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (Pathology) at Pt. JLN Government Medical College, Chamba. The role involves teaching, research, and clinical responsibilities in the field of Pathology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct lectures, practical sessions, and seminars for medical students.
• Supervise research projects and publish findings in indexed journals.
• Participate in departmental academic and administrative activities.
• Mentor students and junior faculty members.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree: Recognized qualification (MBBS + MD in Pathology or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as Lecturer/Registrar/Demonstrator/Resident in a recognized Medical College after post-graduation.
• Age Limit: Up to 45 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates of HP).

Desirable Qualifications:

• Research publications in Index Journals.
• Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh’s customs, dialects, and suitability for working in the region.

Selection Process:

1. Screening Test (CBT):
   • Paper-I: General Knowledge, Hindi, English (100 marks).
   • Paper-II: Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (120 marks).
2. Personality Test (Interview) for shortlisted candidates.

• SC/ST/EWS-BPL (HP): ₹150
• Female/PwD/Ex-Servicemen (HP): Exempted
