Job Description
Position: Training and Placement Officer (TPO) – Contract Basis
Department: Career Development Cell (CDC)
Number of Posts: 01
Pay Scale: ₹80,000 – ₹1,10,000/month (based on experience)
Contract Duration: 1 year (extendable up to 3 years)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute placement strategies aligned with industry trends and student aspirations.
- Build and maintain strong industry partnerships for internships and job placements.
- Oversee end-to-end placement processes: student profiling, resume screening, recruitment drives, and onboarding.
- Coordinate with companies, departments, and All IITs Placement Committee (IPC).
- Generate analytics reports to track placement metrics and program effectiveness.
- Travel occasionally for employer meetings and recruitment events.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification:
- Master’s degree (full-time) from a reputed university.
- Bachelor’s degree considered only for exceptional candidates with vast industry experience.
Experience:
- 5–10 years as a TPO in reputed technical institutes OR multi-industry experience with a strong network.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, database management, and analytics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Age Limit: Below 50 years (relaxation for exceptional cases).
Selection Process
- Screening: Based on qualifications, experience, and industry network.
- Test/Presentation & Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated through a skill test and personal interview.
