Position Details:

• Job Title: Internal Audit Officer (Temporary)
• Number of Vacancies: 1
• Employment Type: Temporary Contract (11 months)
• Location: NIT Goa Campus, Farmagudi, Ponda
• Age Limit:
  • CA/C&MA Candidates: Up to 40 years
  • Retired Officers: Up to 65 years
• Consolidated Pay: ₹50,000/month (Higher pay for exceptional candidates; retired officers as per GoI norms).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Audits:
   • Conduct comprehensive audits across departments, ensuring compliance with GoI rules, statutory guidelines, and institutional policies.
   • Review controls for sponsored research projects, consultancy works, and fee receipts.
2. Risk Management:
   • Design and execute audit programs to mitigate financial and operational risks.
   • Propose actionable recommendations based on analytical findings.
3. Coordination:
   • Liaise with C&AG audit teams and prepare responses to audit observations.
   • Pre-audit purchase proposals, payment vouchers, and works contracts.
4. Reporting:
   • Document audit outcomes and present reports to management.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (C&MA) with 3–5 years of experience in auditing.
  OR
• Retired Accounts Officers (Level 9/10) from Central Govt./Autonomous Bodies with MS Office proficiency.

Desirable:

• Experience in educational/research institutions or familiarity with GoI financial norms.
